Shine on Me

Posted by Extempore (Bombay, India) on 17 April 2009 in Architecture.

I turned the last corner around the sanctum sanctorum of the Shore Temple and saw the sun retreating over the temple to set inland. Out of the glare came this lady who'd been looking at me stopping every twenty seconds to take a shot. I'd like to think she was quite bemused but I'm not quite sure.

Since this is my final picture in the Shore Temple series, I must admit, it seems at least a shame because a sunset would have been magnificent with the Shore Temple in the foreground. But as I learned on my last trip to Madras/Tamil Nadu - on the east coast of India, the dusk always makes you wait in vain.
